Vipassana is a simple, practical method to achieve true peace of mind and a happy, meaningful life. Meaning "to see things as they really are," it involves mental purification through self-observation.
We all experience agitation and frustration, spreading our misery to others. To live peacefully and harmoniously, Vipassana helps us purify our minds, freeing us from suffering and its deep causes. This practice leads us to the ultimate goal of complete mental liberation.
Namaste,
About 2600 years back Gautam Buddha, founded a universal way out of all suffering and thus became
enlightened.Vipassana Meditation is the quintessence of his teaching. The technique of Vipassana is a
simple, practical way to achieve real peace of mind and to lead a happy, useful life. Vipassana
means "to see things as they really are"; it is a logical process of mental purification through
self-observation.
Vipassana enables us to experience peace and harmony: it purifies the mind, freeing it from suffering and the deep-seated causes of suffering. The practice leads step-by-step to the highest spiritual goal of full liberation from all mental defilements. After benefiting millions throughout the country for centuries it was however lost in India.
A few decades ago Shri S N Goenkaji brought back the jewel of Vipassana from Myanmar. The Ganges of Dhamma started flowing again in the country of its origin after centuries of darkness. Over the years the Dhamma has spread widely with a center on every continent in the world.
Purpose of Dhamma Nasika is to help PEOPLE get liberated from their miseries and addictions that have been stopping them from attaining peace in their life by conducting Residential Vipassana Retreats as taught by Satyanarayan Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin.
Meditate… do not delay, lest
you later regret it.
Ancient practice originating from India.
Rediscovered by Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha, over 2,500 years ago.Siddhartha Gautama
was born during the morning twilight of a full moon day. He attained Bodhi (Enlightenment) during
the twilight of Buddha Purnima and left his body during the morning twilight of a full moon
day.Knowledge of this technique has been passed down orally through the Theravada Buddhist
tradition.Revival and popularization efforts were undertaken by Sayagyi U Ba Khin and Shri
Satyanarayan Goenka.

Importance of Expanding Facilities
Demand for the course at the Nashik location is extremely high. However, due to limited residential quarters, a small Dhamma Hall accommodating only 50 students, and few meditation cells, we can only accommodate 50 out of over 300 applications per batch.
